Neuberger Specialty Finance and Crusoe have agreed a $700 million financing facility to buy power generation equipment that will supply energy to AI data centers Crusoe builds and owns. The facility is secured by recently ordered power equipment. Crusoe says it has more than 6 GW of gross AI infrastructure capacity under contract, following a $3.9 billion Series F round in September 2026 at a $30.9 billion valuation.

Crusoe has partnered with Paraguayan developer Araico to build AI compute infrastructure next to the Itaipú substation, powered by the Itaipú Hydroelectric Dam. It is Crusoe’s first dedicated AI Cloud deployment in Latin America. An initial deployment is planned for mid-2027, with a path to 106 MW of IT capacity and long-term options of about 280 MW. Araico will lead site development, while Crusoe will operate the compute for Crusoe Cloud.
