One person has died in a single vehicle crash on State Highway 6 (Kingston Road), Kawarau Falls this morning. It happened shortly before 4am between the intersections of Peninsula Road and Boyd Road. Two people in the car had serious injuries, one had critical injuries, while one died at the scene. One lane has been open, however the Serious Crash Unit is now in attendance which is expected to close the road for a time.
