Today we’re introducing The X Subscription, which brings together Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium in one plan. Over the next few days, we’ll make it available to everyone globally. For the first time, one AI subscription supports the full path from thinking and creating to building and sharing. - Grok supports chat, voice, and image and video generation. - Grok Bot gives you AI teammates that get work done. - Cursor provides leading local and cloud coding agents. - X adds a checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads, with higher tiers removing ads from the timeline entirely. Paid plans on The X Subscription include a generous pool of Grok model usage shared across Grok and Cursor. Each comparable new tier provides more usage-per-dollar than the plan it replaces. Your shared pool covers Grok models whether you use them in the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X, or Cursor. Each X Subscription plan includes at least twice as much coding usage with our models as the comparable Cursor plan. With the new plans, third-party models are still available in Cursor on Premium and above. Usage is billed separately at API list prices, through top-ups. The X Subscription is available to new customers starting today. We’re also rolling out the option to switch for existing SuperGrok, Cursor, and X Premium subscribers. You’ll see it in your account billing settings when it’s available to you. You can keep your current plan, or switch and get a prorated refund for your old plan. I subscribe to more than one of these today. How can I upgrade? Go to your billing settings and you’ll see the option to upgrade to The X Subscription. It walks you through linking your X, Grok, and Cursor accounts, then recommends the best plan based on what you have today. If you decide to upgrade, your current plans end with a prorated refund for the unused time, and your new subscription starts right away. Will my current plan go away? No. Your current plan stays as it is, and you can upgrade to The X Subscription anytime. We expect most customers to upgrade on their own for the added value. Eventually we’ll move any remaining customers to the new plans, but there’s no timeline yet, and we’ll give advance notice before anything changes. Are third-party models still available in Cursor? The new plans include substantially more usage of SpaceXAI models. Third-party models are still available in Cursor on X Premium and higher tiers, billed separately at API list prices via top-ups. You only pay for what you use, and you can set spending caps to control costs. If you’re on a current Cursor plan, your included third-party usage continues until you switch to The X Subscription. How do usage limits work? Every tier on The X Subscription includes a pool of AI usage shared across Grok and Cursor. Within Grok, the pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice, and Grok Bot. Higher tiers include larger pools, and usage costs vary by product. Your allowance refreshes weekly, so one heavy day never wipes out your whole month. If you reach your included usage, you can keep going with top-offs, or wait for your allowance to refresh. You’ll always see your remaining usage in settings. I’m currently on an annual plan. What happens to my term? You keep every day you paid for. Your annual term runs through its end date, unless you choose to upgrade. You can keep your current plan through the end of its term. Any future change will take effect only at renewal, with advance notice. Does The X Subscription have Team plans? Yes. Team plans cost the same per seat as individual plans at $30, $100, or $200, with the same included usage per seat. They also include organization-level controls such as SSO, role-based access, consolidated billing, usage analytics, and SOC 2 compliance. You can start on an individual plan and move to a team plan as more people join. And if your team is on Cursor today, the new plans cost less per seat and include more usage than the old Cursor Teams plans.
