Music, comedy, dance, and storytelling from some of Australia’s most exciting performers will bring fresh energy, new perspectives and unforgettable experiences to the 2027 National Multicultural Festival.

Hot off supporting the Olivia Dean tour, ARIA Award-winning singer Kaiit will bring her neo-soul and hip hop sounds to the festival stage.

MusicACT will present a dynamic music line-up featuring some of the region’s favourite live performers and DJs. Spanning soul, indie, global rhythms, contemporary singer-songwriter traditions and cross-cultural musical influences that highlight Australia's evolving multicultural identity.

The festival will also welcome the acclaimed Music in Exile project, creating opportunities for audiences to experience music and stories shaped by refugee and migrant experiences from around the world.

Friday Night Comedy returns with one of the festival's strongest comedy line-ups to date. Dilruk Jayasinha, Lizzy Hoo, and Hoani Hotene will bring their distinct comedic styles and internationally recognised comedic talents to an evening of laughter celebrating the diversity of Australian and Kiwi comedy talent.

Families can enjoy interactive entertainment throughout the weekend, with Play School alumni favourites Zindzi & The Zillionaires and Jay Laga'aia presenting energetic performances designed to get young audiences singing, dancing and participating. Lucas Proudfoot, an award-winning First Nations children's performer, musician and storyteller, will also join the line-up - bringing culture, music and interactive fun to life.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs Michael Pettersson said every performer will bring something truly special to the festival.

"These artists are storytellers, cultural ambassadors and innovators who define Australia's contemporary cultural landscape”.

“The 2027 Festival program brings together established favourites and emerging artists across music, comedy and family entertainment.

“There is something for everyone in this lineup, including the kids. We want the National Multicultural Festival to be an event where everyone can connect through culture.”

From powerful live performances and laugh-out-loud comedy to interactive family shows and storytelling, the 2027 Festival program will introduce audiences to artists whose work explores community, belonging and shared experiences in innovative and engaging ways.

The 2027 National Multicultural Festival will be held from 5 to 7 February 2027.
