Crusoe has announced that Google has acquired its southeast Wyoming data center site, ending Crusoe’s pre-development role after site selection, approvals and power strategy work. Crusoe and Tallgrass Energy had jointly developed the campus’s power and data center plan, including a hybrid power approach with a longer-term carbon-capture roadmap. Crusoe is separately developing Google’s data center campus under construction near Amarillo, Texas.
Equinix: 6 Nov 2026
Equinix has opened SG6, its sixth IBX data center in Singapore, with an initial investment of about US$290 million. Phase one delivers 8 MW and roughly 1,550 cabinets for AI and high-performance workloads, with liquid cooling and renewable energy; full build-out is planned at up to 20 MW. SG6 is among the first sites under Singapore’s Data Centre Call for Application framework, and Equinix plans a Co-Innovation Facility with NUS in 2027.

DayOne has announced Phase 2 of its water treatment plant at the Kempas Tech Park data center campus in Johor, Malaysia, doubling self-treated water capacity to 20 million litres per day. The plant treats river water on-site for data center cooling and has operated since March 2026; Phase 2 is expected to start in the third quarter of 2027. DayOne also committed a further MYR 3 million to a Johor education fund, bringing its total to MYR 6 million.

Digital Realty has opened its first Digital Realty Innovation Lab (DRIL) in Latin America, at the Vinhedo II campus in São Paulo, Brazil. The lab lets customers test and validate multi-vendor AI infrastructure before deploying at scale, with liquid-cooled racks supporting densities of 150 kW and above. It follows DRIL sites in Northern Virginia, Tokyo and London, with Singapore and Johannesburg planned for late 2026.

Data centre operator Kao Data has reopened its Kao SEED Fund, offering grants of £500 to £2,500 to community groups, social enterprises and not-for-profits in Reddish, Stockport, for projects running through 2027. The fund coincides with construction of Kao Data’s £350m data centre in North Reddish and is managed by charity organisation Sector 3. Applications close on 2 December 2026, with awards from January 2027.

Vantage Data Centers has appointed Dale Drew as chief information security officer, reporting to chief information officer Emily Friedberg. Drew will lead Vantage’s global information security organisation across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. He joins from EchoStar and DISH Network, where he was CISO for DISH Wireless, and previously held senior security roles at Zayo Group and Level 3 Communications.

Vertiv has signed a three-year strategic agreement with Infineon Technologies to secure supply of silicon and silicon carbide power semiconductors for its global power product portfolio, including 800 VDC power systems for AI infrastructure. The deal gives Vertiv greater visibility of semiconductor supply as it scales production and forms part of its multi-supplier supply-chain strategy. The companies will also align technology and product roadmaps.

Princeton Digital Group has secured about USD 1.3 billion (RM 5.1 billion) in green financing for its 200 MW JH1 data center campus at Sedenak Tech Park in Johor, Malaysia. Six banks underwrote the deal: Affin Bank, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered and UOB. The financing contributes to PDG’s plan, announced in March 2026, to raise up to USD 5 billion in debt for contracted capacity across Asia Pacific.
TeraWulf: 4 Nov 2026
TeraWulf has signed credit support agreements with Google for debt financing tied to about $19 billion of contracted Anthropic lease commitments at its Justified Data Campus in Hawesville, Kentucky. Alphabet’s senior unsecured debt is rated AA+ by S&P and Aa2 by Moody’s. TeraWulf also signed a definitive EPC agreement with Fluor for three data center buildings, with phased completions expected from late 2027 through the second quarter of 2028.

NorthC Datacenters has appointed Maarten Goeman as Managing Director for the Netherlands, effective 1 November 2026, succeeding Jan Willem Dees. Goeman returns from Mediterra Datacenters in Italy and previously led corporate development at NorthC. Priorities include expanding capacity at existing Dutch sites and developing new data centers, amid demand driven by sovereign IT and AI, and challenges such as grid congestion.

QTS Data Centers has committed $150,000 over three years, at $50,000 a year, to the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation to support the Data Center Operations certificate in Arizona. The certificate, developed with QTS and other data center partners, trains students for entry-level data center jobs; its first cohort finished in fall 2025. QTS operates data centers in the Phoenix area and is developing three local campuses.

DayOne Data Centers and Singapore battery storage firm Blue Whale Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding to study a distributed virtual power plant in Singapore. The concept would link battery storage at DayOne's upcoming SG1 data center with commercial and industrial sites to act as a single flexible grid resource. Initial work includes a front-end engineering design study and assessing participation in Singapore's Demand Response and Interruptible Load programs.
Sabey Data Centers: 29 Oct 2026
Sabey Data Centers is piloting hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a renewable diesel, as the primary fuel for backup generators at its Sabey Data Center Austin campus in Texas. The test targets Scope 1 emissions from backup generation and will track the feedstock behind the fuel. HVO can run in existing diesel generators without modification, and Sabey intends to extend testing to other sites if the pilot succeeds.

Digital Realty reported third quarter 2026 revenues of $1.9 billion, up 21% year over year, with Core FFO of $2.10 per share against $1.89 a year earlier. The data center operator signed record bookings expected to generate $855 million of annualized rent at 100% share, lifting its backlog to a record $2.5 billion. It acquired $742 million of land in the quarter and raised its 2026 Core FFO outlook to $8.30 to $8.35 per share.

Singapore-headquartered DayOne Data Centers and Sembcorp Utilities have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore integrating power and energy solutions into DayOne's data center developments across Asia. The companies will evaluate on-site power generation, renewable energy supply, and operations and maintenance services under DayOne's Bring Your Own Power initiative. DayOne targets 100% renewable energy by 2030 and already has a power purchase agreement with Sembcorp for its SG1 data center.

Equinix outlined the local impact of its initial US$215 million investment in CH5, its sixth data center in the Chicago area, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The facility created about 150 construction jobs, is expected to support up to 50 permanent roles and will offer more than 190,000 square feet of colocation space at full buildout. It uses air cooling with no routine water consumption, and the Equinix Foundation committed a further US$75,000 grant to i.c.stars.

KDDI Corporation and Telehouse Europe have bought the Inventory Estate in East India Dock, London, from LaSalle Investment Management and Trilogy Real Estate for more than £220 million (US$294 million). The site will host a new high-density, AI-ready data centre expanding Telehouse's London Docklands campus, with 65 MVA of power already secured for phased development. It follows Telehouse West Two, a nine-storey building due for completion in 2028.

Equinix reported third quarter 2026 revenues of $2.571 billion, up 11% year over year, with operating income up 27% to $600 million and net income of $489 million, or $4.93 per share. The data center operator recorded record annualized gross bookings of $533 million and plans nearly 40% more cabinet deliveries in 2026 than first expected. It raised full year revenue guidance to $10.325 billion to $10.365 billion.

He succeeds interim EMEA leader Brian Cox, while Matt VanderZanden and Preet Gona continue to lead the Americas and APAC.

Aligned Data Centers has launched Delta Cube 3.0, the latest version of its patented air-cooling technology, engineered with Munters. The company says it delivers a 10% increase in cooling capacity and 10% better energy efficiency within the same physical footprint, with zero water use for operational cooling. North American units are manufactured in Munters' Selma, Texas and Daleville, Virginia facilities.

EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure has completed a $521 million asset-backed securitization backed by its fully stabilized 36 MW SV01 data center on its Santa Clara, California campus. Proceeds will refinance construction loans and fund future green data center development. The designated green bonds, led by MUFG with ING as joint book-runner, lift EdgeCore's financeable IT capacity to 62 MW across two buildings leased to one hyperscale tenant.

Flexential's 2026 State of AI Infrastructure Report, based on a survey of more than 350 IT decision-makers, found 96% of enterprises experienced at least one network-related performance issue affecting AI workloads in the past year. Latency was cited by 71%, up from 32% in 2024, while only 25% reported difficulty scaling data center space and power. Fiber availability raised costs or delayed AI rollouts for 54%.

STTGDC has secured a JPY93 billion green loan to fit out and operate STTGDC TYO1 and TYO2, its two-building data centre campus at Goodman Business Park in Inzai City, Greater Tokyo, which will provide 70.8MW of IT capacity. Standard Chartered was lead coordinator alongside Mizuho Bank, OCBC, Société Générale and UOB. Loan criteria include green building certification and a design PUE of 1.3 or below.

AirTrunk has secured a A$4.25 billion green loan from a consortium of 32 financial institutions to fund continued development of its SYD3 campus in Western Sydney. The company says the project is expected to support more than 10,000 jobs, with construction led by A W Edwards due for completion by mid-2028. The deal lifts AirTrunk's total committed debt financing to about A$38.4 billion globally.

QTS Data Centers is investing $14 million in a Fayette County Community Resilience Program with Georgia Power to fund pre-weatherization repairs for more than 800 homes in Fayette County, Georgia. The work tackles structural, health and safety problems that block energy-efficiency upgrades such as duct sealing and new furnaces or water heaters. The Same House and Groundswell will handle outreach and guide eligible households through the process.

Vertiv has completed its acquisition of King Environmental Services (KES), a Dublin-area specialist in fluid management, commissioning and load testing for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers. Financial terms were not disclosed and are not expected to be material to Vertiv’s results.

Neuberger Specialty Finance and Crusoe have agreed a $700 million financing facility to buy power generation equipment that will supply energy to AI data centers Crusoe builds and owns. The facility is secured by recently ordered power equipment. Crusoe says it has more than 6 GW of gross AI infrastructure capacity under contract, following a $3.9 billion Series F round in September 2026 at a $30.9 billion valuation.

Crusoe has partnered with Paraguayan developer Araico to build AI compute infrastructure next to the Itaipú substation, powered by the Itaipú Hydroelectric Dam. It is Crusoe’s first dedicated AI Cloud deployment in Latin America. An initial deployment is planned for mid-2027, with a path to 106 MW of IT capacity and long-term options of about 280 MW. Araico will lead site development, while Crusoe will operate the compute for Crusoe Cloud.

India-based AI cloud company Neysa has selected STTGDC’s STT Noida 2 data centre to host GPU infrastructure and its Velocis AI cloud platform. The first phase of the multi-year relationship will support up to 9,000 GPUs for high-density AI training and inference and is expected to go live from the first quarter of calendar 2027. The deployment is aimed at production AI workloads requiring data residency in India.

Crusoe says its Crusoe Spark modular AI data center platform will support NVIDIA’s new DSX POD reference design for modular NVIDIA Vera Rubin deployments. Crusoe has built and operated modular data centers since 2020 and plans mass production at its 352,000-square-foot Spark factory in Brighton, Colorado. Head of Spark Bryan Schramm said the company can deliver productive AI capacity in as little as three months.

Polar Data Centers is applying the approach to the first 41 MW phase of its Herøya, Norway campus.

Equinix has launched Enhanced Performance Innovation Centers (EPIC), a network of production-ready liquid cooling environments inside live Equinix data centers. Enterprises can trial liquid-cooled GPU and CPU platforms with hardware partners and test AI training and inference workloads before scaling. EPIC is live in Frankfurt, London, Osaka, Paris and Sydney, with more locations expected in 2027. Criteo is cited as a customer that tested liquid cooling with Equinix before scaling.

Polar Data Centers is expanding its partnership with Crusoe at its hydro-powered campus in Tørdal, Norway. The first facility, DRA01, is now live with 12 MW of IT capacity supporting Crusoe Cloud. A second phase, DRA02, is planned to add 40 MW of liquid-cooled IT capacity and go live in late 2027, where Crusoe plans to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 systems.

Vantage has secured more than 1 GW of manufacturing capacity for Heron Power Electronics’ Heron Link solid-state transformer to deploy across its hyperscale data center campuses. Heron Link converts medium-voltage grid power directly to 800-volt direct current with integrated energy storage, targeting more than 98.5% efficiency. The companies say the design cuts conversion stages and equipment compared with 480 VAC systems and supports megawatt-class AI rack densities.

CommonAI has chosen Kao Data’s Harlow campus to host the UK’s AI Scaling Inference Lab, funded by the Advanced Research and Invention Agency. CommonAI will deploy at least five high-density GPU and accelerator clusters in two dedicated suites, testing approaches such as pipeline parallelism and optical circuit switching, with all five aimed to be operational by early 2027. The hardware mix includes NVIDIA HGX B300, H200 NVL and AMD Instinct MI350X systems.

Vertiv said it has delivered India’s first direct-to-chip high-density liquid cooling deployment, working with CapitaLand India Trust at the CLDC Mumbai 01 data center in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Its secondary fluid network system supports 30 MW of AI workloads for a hyperscale customer. Vertiv built a production facility to mass-manufacture the cooling-loop skids and completed Level 4 testing before go-live.

Pure Data Centres Group has installed the third and final power transformer at its 90MW LON01 data centre campus in North London, lifting the site substation’s total capacity to 150MVA. The 75MVA Hitachi unit, manufactured in Colombia and shipped to the UK, was placed using a specialist 1,000-tonne gantry because space around the live substation ruled out a conventional crane. Energisation is planned for late October.

Colt Data Centre Services and RMZ have started construction of Mumbai 3, a 64MW AI-ready data centre at Colt DCS's Navi Mumbai Campus, after signing its first hyperscale customer. The facility is fully pre-let and part of the partners' $1.7 billion Indian joint venture. It will use 100% renewable energy and hybrid air and direct liquid-to-chip cooling, and is expected to create more than 700 jobs.

STACK Infrastructure said the first class of its Critical Operations Development Academy (CODA) graduated on October 14 in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. The 12-week in-house program trains people without prior data center experience in electrical, mechanical, safety and operational disciplines. All 20 graduates are now full-time STACK employees supporting operations at Project Jupiter, starting at a minimum of $40 per hour.

DayOne Data Centers said it has surpassed 1GW of billings after upsizing its senior secured syndicated term financing in Malaysia to about US$7.2 billion. Arranged by seven lenders, the financing supports its Johor data center platform. As of 20 September, bookings reached about 2.3GW from 15 customers, up from 1.25GW at the end of 2025, and its resources across ten markets reached 4.6GW.

EdgeConneX entered the Australian market through a 50-50 joint venture with Stockland (ASX: SGP) to develop, own and operate hyperscale data center campuses, starting in Sydney and Melbourne. The partners said they have secured 450 MW of power for an initial portfolio and are progressing further applications and planning. EdgeConneX appointed Chris Maher as Managing Director for Australia and joined Data Centres Australia as a principal member.

Vertiv and Deloitte's Center for Integrated Research introduced a Designing Infrastructure for Enterprise AI Guide, developed with STL Partners, to help enterprises match AI workloads to suitable physical infrastructure. The framework covers six workload archetypes and four models-from Edge AI Cluster to High-Density AI Cluster-and stresses early checks of power, cooling, connectivity and facility readiness. Vertiv said the guide is meant to reduce deployment risk as organizations move AI from pilots into production.

CDC Data Centres has proposed a community benefits package worth up to $225 million for Wagga Wagga, tied to its planned data centre campus at Gregadoo in regional New South Wales. The package combines a proposed Voluntary Planning Agreement with Council, set at a minimum of 1% of total development cost, and a further $75 million for regional initiatives. It depends on the project gaining NSW Government approval through the State Significant Development process.
