CENTENNIAL — Today, Governor Polis joined the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and Boom Supersonic to celebrate the company's decision to further expand operations in Colorado, supporting jobs, growing Colorado’s aerospace industry and boosting Colorado’s economy.
“It is no secret that Colorado is the best place to work, live, and grow an aerospace company. Colorado is home to some of the best aerospace industries in the world, and I am excited that Boom Supersonic is choosing to grow operations in Colorado, creating new jobs, supporting our economy and ensuring that Colorado remains a leader in the aerospace industry,” said Governor Polis.
“Boom Supersonic is already a critical piece of Colorado’s aerospace ecosystem. We cannot wait to see their operations grow and continue to create more opportunities for Coloradans. This expansion is another example as to why Colorado is the best place for aerospace,” said Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera.
Boom Supersonics' new Superpower Superfactory is a 200,000-square-foot, two-building manufacturing campus in Centennial, Colorado. The facility will produce Superpower turbines and turbine components from raw materials, bringing engineering and manufacturing together to scale production.
Colorado is home to more than 2,200 aerospace businesses, reflecting 34% growth over the last five years and supporting more than 58,000 direct jobs and 184,000 indirect jobs.
