Collaborative program could help more than 800 eligible homeowners access needed weatherization and energy-efficiency home repairs through partnership with Georgia Power.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (Oct. 26, 2026) — As part of Energy Efficiency Month, QTS Data Centers today announced the Fayette County Community Resilience Program, an innovative partnership with Georgia Power designed to help eligible customers overcome barriers to energy-efficiency improvements through home assessments, repairs and community-based support.

QTS is investing $14 million to support pre-weatherization for more than 800 homes in Fayette County. Pre-weatherization work will address critical structural, health and safety issues that can prevent a home from accessing energy-efficiency improvements. By helping households complete this foundational work, the program is intended to create a pathway to homes that are more energy efficient, comfortable, healthy and safe.

“At QTS, we believe that being a good neighbor means investing in the things that matter most to the people who call Fayette County home,” said Brian Herlihy, chief development officer at QTS. “This partnership with Georgia Power is about making a real difference for residents and families by creating opportunities to access resources that can improve their homes, lower energy costs and deliver benefits that last well beyond a single project.”

For some households, necessary health and safety repairs must be completed before weatherization or other energy-efficiency improvements can begin. The Fayette County Community Resilience Program is designed to help close that gap, creating a coordinated pathway from customer outreach and home assessment to needed repairs, energy-efficiency improvements and follow-up. Eligible upgrades, based on a program-specific home assessment, may include sealing heating and air conditioning delivery ducts and upgrading gas furnaces, boilers and water heaters.

“We know that energy costs are an important part of every family’s budget and that’s why we work every day to connect our customers with tools, programs and resources to save money and energy,” said Latanza Adjei, senior vice president and chief customer officer for Georgia Power. “Developing new strategic partnerships that help meet customers where they are and move them closer to energy efficiency, alongside outstanding partners like QTS, is just one of the ways that we are keeping customers at the center of what we do and making growth work for Georgia.”

QTS and Georgia Power are working with The Same House and Groundswell to connect eligible households with the program and help residents navigate the process. The Same House will support local education and outreach, helping build awareness and connect residents with available resources. Groundswell will serve as the Energy Navigator, providing personalized guidance, technical screening and application support as households move from initial engagement toward home repairs and energy-efficiency improvements.
