Jackson One of Four Jurisdictions in America to Receive Trump Administration Funding to Combat Crime
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announced that Jackson is one of four jurisdictions nationwide to receive an award under the Justice Department’s nearly $300 million Model Cities Initiative to combat crime. The city plans to use the funds for technology to speed law-enforcement deployment and strengthen investigations, and for preventive work on recidivism and homelessness. Attorney General Todd Blanche is expected to visit Jackson in November to present the award.
