Queensland Rail Chief Executive Officer, Ms Kat Stapleton, has today notified Queensland Rail staff she will not seek extend her appointment, due to conclude in April 2027.

On behalf of the Crisafulli Government, I thank Ms Stapleton for her contribution as Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Rail over the past four and a half years.

Ms Stapleton has led Queensland Rail as the organisation recently secured in-principal agreement with its workforce across seven enterprise agreements, and I wish her success in future endeavours.

Ms Stapleton will continue in her role until April, while a merit-based selection process to find a new CEO for Queensland Rail will begin shortly.
