Third project registered under the Nature Repair Market
The Clean Energy Regulator has registered the Nortongong Biodiversity Restoration Project as the third project under the Nature Repair Market scheme. Located near Coonamble in north-west New South Wales, it aims to restore 968 hectares of cleared land with native plantings to support recovery of Weeping Myall open woodland. Proponent Wilga Farming and agent Verdant Partners plan to combine it with carbon abatement under the ACCU Scheme.
