A scene examination will begin today following a house fire in Wharekaho overnight.

Emergency services were called to the Wharekaho Road address about 2.25am today, Thursday 8 October.

An occupant raised the alarm and is being provided with support.

A scene guard remained in place overnight and Police will be carrying out a scene examination at the house today, including working with fire investigators.

Information will be released proactively when we are in a position to do so.
