A person has died in a two-vehicle crash on the Temuka-Orari Highway near Opuha Street East about 3.30pm. The Serious Crash Unit closed the road for a scene examination after emergency treatment at the scene failed to save one occupant. A 50km/h temporary limit was left in place overnight.
One person has died following a two vehicle crash in Temuka this afternoon.
Police were called to the Temuka-Orari Highway near the intersection with Opuha Street East about 3.30pm.
Sadly, despite best efforts, one person died at the scene.
The road was blocked while the Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination, however, will reopen shortly.
There will be a 50km/h temporary speed limit in place overnight around the area.
