Agreement outlines municipal funding and infrastructure support for water infrastructure and other community priorities in Turkey, Texas

TURKEY, Texas (Oct. 9, 2026) – QTS Data Centers and Lancium today announced an agreement with the City of Turkey that could provide up to $15.5 million for city services and community infrastructure improvements, along with an additional one-time contribution to support replacement of the city’s aging water tower.

The agreement outlines support for locally identified priorities, including:

  • Annual payments to the City of $1.5 million through 2032, totaling $10.5 million, to support city services, infrastructure and other priorities determined by local leaders in accordance with the agreement.
  • Up to $5 million in additional infrastructure assistance for additional community projects such as roads, utilities, drainage and public facilities.
  • A one-time water infrastructure contribution to support replacement of the City’s aging water tower and sewer system improvements, as part of the recently announced commitment to invest $250 million in Texas water infrastructure and stewardship over the next decade.

In addition to the financial support the City of Turkey will be receiving through this agreement, QTS and Lancium have also sought to address priorities identified by the community as construction on the campus has developed.

“This agreement gives Turkey meaningful resources to invest in the infrastructure and services our residents rely on every day,” said Lynette Findley, City Manager for Turkey, TX. “While the data center campus is located near Turkey but outside the city limits, this agreement ensures the community shares in the benefits of an expansive project in our area. We expect long-term employment opportunities for local residents throughout this project and established businesses to continue seeing increased revenue. We appreciate QTS and Lancium’s commitment to partnering with Turkey in a way that positively impacts our community’s immediate needs and lasting goals.”

“This agreement reflects a tremendous amount of collaboration and a shared commitment to doing what is right for Turkey,” said Carley du Menil, President of the Turkey Economic Development Corporation. “I am so grateful to the City, QTS and Lancium for working together to ensure this development brings meaningful, long-term benefits to our community. Not only does this agreement give us the resources we need to invest in our future, but helps preserve our community’s unique identity while welcoming new neighbors into our fold.”

“Responsible development means making commitments that people can see and measure,” said Theo Yedinsky, Chief External Affairs Officer of QTS. “This agreement outlines funding for priorities identified by local leaders, including replacing Turkey’s aging water tower, supporting city services and helping fund future infrastructure improvements. We’re committed to being a long-term partner to Turkey and Hall County and delivering on these commitments as the project moves forward.”

“Lancium believes that developing critical infrastructure also comes with a responsibility to invest in the communities that make these projects possible,” said Michael McNamara, CEO of Lancium. “For a community like Turkey, investments of this scale can have a meaningful and lasting impact. We’re proud to stand behind the commitments in this agreement and to support critical infrastructure, essential city services and locally determined priorities that will benefit Turkey and its residents for years to come. Our goal is not simply to develop here, but to be a trusted, long-term neighbor to Turkey and Hall County.”

QTS and Lancium will continue working with local leaders and community stakeholders as the data center development advances. Under the agreement, annual payments are expected to begin in 2026, and work on the water tower is expected to start by the end of the year.
