Original release

Federal redistributions for South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT have been formally determined by the independent augmented Electoral Commission responsible for drawing electoral boundaries.

The determinations are a formal confirmation of the boundaries already announced earlier this year, with maps and data now available for each redistribution.

The final reports will be published after each of them are tabled in Parliament. MPs will continue to represent their existing electorates until a federal election is called.

A federal redistribution is now underway in Queensland, but that process only recently commenced.
