The Carroll Labor Government is prioritising work to fix our roads – and that work has begun.
More than 100,000 potholes have already been repaired across Victoria since 1 July.
That means crews are on track to fix more than 500,000 by the end of June 2027.
That's double what the Liberal-One Nation Coalition claim they'd fix in a year.
We’re also doubling the length road receiving significant repairs – to stop potholes forming in the first place.
Crews are repairing 6.8 million square metres of road at more than 1,000 projects, across the state.
It’s thanks to the biggest road maintenance investment in Victoria's history: $1.4 billion, delivered by Labor.
In regional Victoria crews are targeting roads, including:
- Western Highway
- Glenelg Highway
- Princes Highway
- Hume Freeway
- Calder Highway
In Melbourne, crews are targeting roads, including:
- West Gate Freeway
- Princes Highway
- Ballarto Road
- Mornington Peninsula Freeway
Crews are repairing roads, mowing tens of thousands of kilometres of grass, removing rubbish and cleaning graffiti.
They’re inspecting thousands of bridges and maintaining hundreds of traffic lights and electronic road signs.
Victorians will see more of these crews on local roads as the weather warms up.
Victorians know they can’t trust the Liberals on roads. They cut funding for roads the last time they were in power and under a Liberal-One Nation Coalition, they’ll cut again.
