Crusoe Co-Founder and CEO Chase Lochmiller announces commitment at White House "Science: A New Golden Age" Summit

WASHINGTON, D.C. — October 8, 2026 — Crusoe today announced a $50 million commitment in high-performance AI compute credits over three years to support the Genesis Mission Consortium.

Crusoe Co-Founder and CEO Chase Lochmiller announced the pledge at the White House Science: A New Golden Age Summit alongside federal science leaders and industry peers. The contribution will provide capacity for high-performance compute and inference workloads via Crusoe Cloud, the company’s AI cloud platform, as well as technical support to researchers across more than 15 federal agencies, including the DOE, NASA, NIH, and NSF.

"AI-driven computation is fast becoming the foundational engine of modern scientific discovery," said Lochmiller. "By committing $50 million in AI compute and inference credits to the Genesis Mission, Crusoe is putting powerful AI infrastructure directly into the hands of federal researchers tackling the nation's biggest challenges in energy and health. We're proud to make Crusoe Cloud more accessible to more innovators."

The Genesis Mission (EO 14363) is the Administration’s flagship initiative to harness AI for scientific breakthroughs. Crusoe's three-year pledge helps deliver on OSTP Director Michael Kratsios’s vision for modernizing U.S. science through bold public-private partnerships.

Today’s commitment builds on Crusoe's role as a launch partner for the newly unveiled National Compute Grid, a separate initiative aimed at pooling advanced AI infrastructure to expand public sector and educational access for researchers nationwide.
